What do the green epaulettes stand for?

Across the country, green has become a symbol for mental health awareness. During the month of May, Mental Health Awareness month, you can find green ribbons and other green markers, appear across industries to promote awareness and to acknowledge the changes needed to end the stigma surrounding mental health.

Green epaulettes are worn by police officers to show support for mental health and mental health awareness. Mental health affects us all in one way or another. Officers can choose to wear them while on duty or keep them as a keepsake.

Your purchase of green epaulettes not only raises awareness and showcases your commitment to ending the stigma surrounding mental health, but it also supports the development and training of the Peel Beyond the Blue family peer support program.

Epaulettes will only be available for a limited time so don't delay.

  • Due to the customization of these items and production time, orders will ship to you directly and should arrive in early-mid APRIL.
  • The wearing of these epaulettes has been authorized for PRP members to wear for the month of May.
