The Family Association for Mental Health Everywhere (FAME) offers support to families where any mental illness is an issue by providing education, resources and coping strategies.

Programs Available:
Famekids And Fameyouth - Etobicoke And North York Toronto A specialized 10-week educational group program for children aged 7-12 who have a family member with mental illness. It educates and equips kids with coping skills through artwork, discussion, and games in a safe environment. The program is delivered throughout the year in various locations across Toronto and Peel. One-on-one support is also available for children. Telephone support offered. Youth support offered for ages 13-17.
ROCK is an accredited, multi-service organization providing services to children and youth from birth to 17 years of age and their families. ROCK aims to improve the lives and relationships of families with children who are having social, emotional and behavioural concerns. At ROCK, we function on a multidisciplinary team basis that may include persons trained in psychology, social work, therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, education, early childhood education, family and individual therapy, and child and youth therapy.

Walk-In Clinic:
Provide quick access to therapeutic intervention. They enable family members to see trained therapists at their chosen moments of need. The entire family or individual family members may come to the clinic without an appointment during walk-in clinic hours. Families with children from birth to 17 years of age. Youth 12 years and older can come on their own and/or with support people.

Behavioural Consultation and Intervention:
Consultation and intervention are available to both parents and child care staff when there is concern regarding the child's social, emotional and behavioural challenges. Trained consultants work in the home and child care centres helping parents and caregivers understand the social, emotional and developmental needs of children.
Group Therapy
Therapists work with groups of children or caregivers with similar needs to help them deal with specific challenges (eg. anxiety).
Intergenerational Trauma Treatment
This program is for caregivers and families of children who have experienced trauma and is designed to help caregivers understand, cope with, and resolve the impact of trauma on their child and family.
Parent Infant/Child Assessment and Therapy
This is a therapeutic service for families who are experiencing, or at risk for, serious difficulties. The goal is to build and support early parent/child relationships to restore the flow of normal growth.
Individual/Family Therapy
The therapist works with the family to help deal with problems affecting them and their child. Family Therapy helps families, or individuals within a family understand and improve the way family members interact with each other.
Parent-Child Anxiety Group (8-12 years)
Children learn to identify and cope with anxiety, worries and fears. Parents learn how to best support their child. Screening is required
Intensive Child and Family Services
This intensive child and family service is an in-home and/or in-community counselling and support program for children, youth and their families where there is a risk of family breakdown, harm, or loss of school placement.

WhereToStart.ca is a partnership of Associated Youth Services of Peel, Nexus Youth Services, Peel Children’s Centre, Rapport Youth and Family Services, and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinics at Trillium Health Partners and William Osler Health System.

Peel Children's Centre offers many excellent treatment services for children, teenagers, and families who are having serious issues with relationships, feelings, or behaviour. We treat young people under the age of 18 who live in the Region of Peel in Ontario, Canada. The region we serve includes the City of Brampton, the Town of Caledon and the City of Mississauga.

Programs Available:
Walk-In Counselling:
We offer single counselling sessions or a series of counselling sessions to help you. You can have counselling as a family or in groups. We are also part of a service called Tangerine Walk-In Counselling. Peel Children's Centre provides walk-in counselling at our Main Office on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm (the last session begins at 6:00 pm). Tangerine Walk-in Counselling is available at other locations in Peel Region on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Crisis Response:
If your child has a serious problem, our Crisis Response Service can help. When you call 416-410-8615, you will be connected to a specially trained mental health worker will talk to you about your problem to decide what needs to be done. Then, if needed, a specially trained mental health worker will come to visit you. The worker will come to your home or school, or wherever you are in the community.

Nexus Youth Services provides services for youth between the ages of 14 and 24 years who live in the Peel Region of Ontario, Canada.

Children’s Counselling
Most commonly, our professionally trained counsellors see children that are 3 1/2 years and older as this is the stage when children are verbal and can focus their attention for at least 30 minutes.
Tuesdays Walk-in Counselling for all ages:
Offering Walk-In Counselling services on a sliding scale basis to individuals of all ages at our 400 Queen St. South location. Walk-in at 400 Queen is on Tuesdays from 12 – 6 pm. These 90-minute sessions will help you address a wide range of issues.
Dynamic Girls:
Dynamic Girls is a group for girls in grades 7 and 8. The group focuses on improving social interaction, increasing self-esteem and improving mood. Each week will cover different topics and teach girls skills that will help them cope with difficult times, overcome obstacles, and develop healthy relationships with themselves and others while navigating the teen years.
